Certified Insurance Service Representative

The CISR program stresses the understanding and analysis of risks and exposures. Designed for producers, CSR's, account executives and other insurance professionals, the CISR program fills the need for quality insurance education and training. Each course is one day of instruction followed by an optional examination (no exam required for CE credit). The successful completion of five of the nine course examinations earns the CISR designation. You have three years from the end of the year you pass your first exam to complete your CISR designation. Download CISR Information Sheet along with Course Descriptions To maintain the designation, particpants must annually attend at least one program sanctioned by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research. No testing is required to maintain the designation.

THE NEXT STEP: CISR ELITE As a CISR, you already know the value of an ongoing commitment to professionalism. To earn CISR Elite status, you must attend and pass all nine CISR courses. You already keep your education up-to-date by meeting your annual update requirement. Why not earn CISR Elite status in the process? You get an additional three years to complete your CISR Elite status. You will: See the instructor in real time See speaker presentations Participate in Q&A sessions Be in class all day with regular breaks and an hour for lunch Participate from the comfort and convenience of your home or office Registration is required. We will send you a confirmation email that includes course materials and a link to view webinar with technical specs and support line. What technology do I need to take a webinar? A desktop computer, laptop, or tablet Internet connection Speakers or audio on your device There is not a phone connection for these webinars; audio streams through the computer Do I need to attend the entire webinar? To earn continuing education credits and/or designation update credits, you must be in FULL ATTENDANCE of the webinar. Random attendance checks occur each hour of the presentation. You must reply to all attendance polls to earn the 7 credits, there is NO partial credit. PROfile displays all of your National Alliance professional education information including: Alliance member #, when your next update is due, membership dues status, CE certificate, course history, new program offerings, contact and logon information, and suggested reading materials. Do I need to take an exam? If you are attending the CISR Seminar to earn the CISR or CISR Elite designation, you must take and pass the exam. If you are attending the CISR Seminar only for CE credit or for your CISR designation annual update credit, you DO NOT need to take the exam. Your attendance is validated by the attendance polls, and an exam is not required. How do I take the CISR exam? For additional help please email: examhelp@scic.com The CISR exam window will be 4:15 PM the day of the class through Thursday at 11:59 PM CST the week following the class. Those who would like to stay and take the exam will need to bring with them their own electronic devices to be able to test otherwise they take it at home with their own approved proctor. Do I need a proctor for the exam? Yes, the exam must be proctored, meaning someone must see you take the test and confirm that you did not use any course materials or notes to take the test. All exam-takers will need a disinterested third-party to proctor them. More information can be found at https://scic.com/proctor-monitor-rules . If you don't have anyone at home to proctor your exam you can contact MIIAB for proctor availability. When do I get my results? You results will be posted to your National Alliance My Profile Page 1-2 weeks after your exam is taken. You login https://www.scic.com/customer/account/login to your myprofile page
